The results are in, and this year’s Game Changer Soccer Camp was an absolute triumph! From June 8-11, a vibrant group of 65 kids gathered at the Athletic Community Field in Hicks Parkfor a memorable week of athletic, intellectual, and creative growth.
A Unique Mission in Tulsa
What truly makes the Game Changer Camp unique in the Tulsa community is its foundational mission: no child is turned away for a lack of ability to pay. Hosted by the Tulsa Athletic Soccer Foundation (TASF), the camp provides fully funded opportunities to families who qualify ensuring that premium summer athletic and educational experiences remain completely accessible to everyone.
New Leadership, New Horizons
A huge part of this year’s success stems from TASF welcoming Keely Flynn as the new Director of Programs. Keely hit the ground running, introducing a dynamic curriculum that reached far beyond the soccer pitch. Under her guidance, campers participated in specialized leadership and team-building sessions designed to foster character, cooperation, and confidence.
More Than Just Sports
This year, camp was a fully multidisciplinary experience. When they weren’t sharpening their footwork on the field, full-day campers challenged their minds and unlocked their creativity through dedicated STEM activities, hands-on arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
A major highlight of the week was a special guest visit from the Bob Dylan Center, who brought their acclaimed “Tangled Up In Tunes” program directly to the park. This interactive session allowed campers to explore the power of music, storytelling, and creative expression.
