Game Changer Soccer Camp

Each summer the Tulsa Athletic Soccer Foundation provides underprivileged children the opportunity to attend soccer camp! If they qualify for free lunch at school, they qualify for free camp! It is the Tulsa Athletic Game Changer Camp and truly makes a difference for these kids and their families.

Full day campers will have game-changing experiences every afternoon! Check the schedule and don’t miss out on the fun!

Monday-STEM

The first afternoon campers will have a lot of fun while learning through afternoon STEM activities! This year we will provide a compelling program with teaching professionals. Every student, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves access to exceptional STEM experiences that can shape their future and unlock limitless possibilities. With a passionate commitment to inclusivity and innovation, we are dedicated to making STEM accessible to all, both inside and outside of the classroom. Campers will have a truly fun learning experience through captivating activities and hands on fun!

Tuesday-Live Music Concert at Cain’s Ballroom

Tuesday afternoon will be a true highlight of camp week! Through the generosity of the legendary Cain’s Ballroom and partnering with The Bart Center for Music campers will be transported by luxury motorcoach to Cain’s and treated to an exclusive afternoon music concert! Plus they will have the opportunity to participate and make some music of their own!

For nearly 25 years The Bart has been a downtown Tulsa community music school. Through their music school which serves anyone who wants to learn about music and to play music, their Conservatory Program for those who want to build a career in music, and their outreach programs in Tulsa and Union Public Schools, they work to provide music education to thousands of children and adults in the Tulsa community. Come enjoy the show!

Wednesday-Bike Club

Bike Club is a kid-centered program started with a few like-minded people. People who were passionate and understood the power of bicycles. They started offering a bike program at Emerson Elementary School in 2012. In the 2024-25 school year, Bike Club’s will be operated at 37 Tulsa Public Schools with plans to reach additional children through ongoing program expansion.

Bike Club will come to the Tulsa Athletic Game Changer Soccer Camp Wednesday afternoon, take the kids on a trail ride in Hicks Park, talk with them about the importance of bicycle safety, obeying rules and provide riding skills training. Bike Club supplies bikes for the ride and everyone receives a free bicycle helmet to take home.

Bike Club Rocks! Bike Club Rolls!

Thursday-Art with Jes McCutchen

Thursday, the final afternoon of camp will be dedicated to art! Jes McCutchen is a writer and artist that works extensively with children. She will lead the kids through some fun art activities including making prints with Lego blocks, some silly doodle comics, and wacky collages! Students will get to be a bit messy and create refrigerator worthy art!

MUSIC

Through a generous gift from Cain’s Ballroom and in cooperation with the bART Center for Music, campers will be treated to a special afternoon concert at the historic Cain’s Ballroom. While many are familiar with Cain’s the mission of the bART Center for Music is to contribute to the vitality of community arts in Tulsa through music education for all. The vision is that everyone, regardless of income, race, gender, age or ability has the opportunity to be creative through music.

The bART Center for Music mission, in part is Musically Motivated Arts Education with the goal of offering access to music education to individuals of all ages and abilities.

Campers will be transported by luxury motorcoach from the practice field to Cains. That in itself will be a terrific experience for the children. This is an exciting addition to the Game Changer Camp curriculum. Thank you, Cain’s Ballroom!

Many of the parents aren’t in jobs that allow them to take off time to drop kids off or pick them up in the middle of the day. For that reason and to further the TASF mission as an educational organization, the Game Changer Camp is a full day camp. There is soccer in the mornings followed by lunch. In the afternoon, certified teachers provide fun learning experiences on STEM, art and music. Bike Club comes for an afternoon teaching bicycle safety and they bring bikes for kids to practice their riding skills. Everyone gets a free bicycle helmet!

At the Game Changer Camp we are helping underprivileged kids have the camp experience they otherwise could not afford.  Plus, we are providing summer cash for teachers and coaches and the families are saving hundreds of dollars on daycare. It truly is a win, win, win, win!
